The Confederation aims to signpost a range
of activities & provision. In many
cases the information is being provided
by the providers. The Confederation does not
take any responsibility
for the accuracy of information nor has it
undertaken any checks on providers.
It is important that parents / carers / guardians
do their own checks to ensure they are happy
with the activity, the provider and the situation
within which it is offered before allowing their
child/charge to engage in them.
Within these pages The Confederation would like to help staff linked to schools and Extended Services find useful resources and contacts to help with all areas of the Extended Service Agenda.

Crisis Grants help people throughout Surrey who are living in hardship or have special needs.
They are referred to The Surrey Care Trust by professionals such as social workers, health visitors, teachers, probation officers and careers advisers.
For people who are struggling against challenging odds to make a better future for themselves, a Crisis Grant provides valuable support when life is particularly tough.
We turn round more than 90 per cent of requests within two working days and recipients often tell us that receiving these modest grants makes them feel cared for and more positive about the future. The STEPS programmes help change the lives of young people who otherwise face a tough future with few qualifications, low self-confidence and little chance of realising their potential.
Our STEPS Under 16s programme offers an alternative education to vulnerable youngsters who have struggled to fit into the mainstream system. Without STEPS they might give up on school completely but we build their belief in themselves and their ability to achieve and transform their prospects of succeeding in life.
For young people who finished their years of formal education without qualifications and a sense of achievement, we run a STEPS Lifeskills course for 16 to 25-year-olds.
STEPS School Inclusion is designed to get disaffected youngsters motivated, enthused and back on track at school before they are excluded or drop out.
We also run STEPS Counselling , a free service provided by trained volunteer counsellors for young people between the ages of 16 and 25

What do the Families think?
"This course is great – and being able to bring my toddler, who is fast turning into a very fussy eater, was a real bonus. Thank you for lots of fun and some lovely recipes."
"The links with weighing and measuring were really helpful and we even enjoyed the home activities – they didn’t seem like homework which Aisha normally tries to avoid. She is even more helpful in the kitchen!"
